I hate when I’m wrong. But you can’t be right all the time. At least I’m not the only one who made errors today. TD Twelve-E has impressed enough to warrant classification. And rightfully so. A few degrees further south and we’d likely be looking at one monster hurricane in a few days. Enjoy it, cause even the NHC thinks this system won’t last more than a few days. I just wish it’d go ahead and go away so I could resolve some since of self-appreciation. I’ll just stick to the script for now.

TD 12-E is forecast to meander around a building high throughout it’s life. Unfortunately, that takes it over cooler waters and ends whatever hope of strengthening this system will have. SHIPS brings it to near-hurricane strength. The NHC has settled for less calling for peak intensity of 55kts or 60mph. The NHC did not mention in their first storm discussion the easterly shear that was pounding this storm. Not to mention the very dry air to the north. Both of which I still think will play big factors in the life of this system. But, we shall see what we shall see. If anything, this is a good storm for you budding pros to work your magic on. Anyone want to volunteer a forecast?
On a slight side note, I was able to make considerable progress with getting the maps reinstated sometime today. I expect them to be fully functional by the next advisory. These are the same maps we had last year that showed forecast track along with wind radii. I’ll be adding additional features as I can including time controls. For now, what’s coming is better than what’s here. I apologize for that. I am doing my best, though and appreciate your patience.
