The NHC feels Invest 91L just east of the Windward islands has developed enough convection/surface circulation to warrant advisories.
Though I haven’t had a chance to write about the system today, I have seen enough to not see any change since my post on soon-to-be-Tropical-Storm-Henri yesterday. The system should be a mild to moderate tropical storm as it approaches the Leeward Islands in a couple of days. Shear will be the prohibiting factor for the time being.
Afterwards, a building deep-level ridge will steer Henri into or south of the Greater Antilles. It’s too early to say if there is a recurvature before getting to Florida. It seems likely at the current time the system will get into the Gulf of Mexico.
I’ll post a more detailed report tonight.
