Anderson Cooper of CNN just began a live segment when the dark clouds of Hurricane Gustav started moving in. Several rain bands are moving into Louisiana and a tornado warning has already been issued in southeast Louisiana. As far as surface observations go I do not see any conditions higher than tropical storm force. However, live coverage on CNN clearly shows some areas are indeed receiving tropical storm force conditions.
