My Hurricane Ike Rememberance

Today marks the one year anniversary of Hurricane Ike making landfall in Galveston, Texas. And, while residents across southeast Texas wake up to similar dreary weather we saw one year ago after Ike passed, we don't hear the chainsaws or the generators or line up waiting for box meals. Instead, we are celebrating and being thankful for how far we've come in a short period of time.

After Ike: Aerial Views from the No-Fly Zone

In “After Ike”, Carlile transforms the wrath of Ike that I witnessed from reporting on the ground for KHOU-TV, into a historically significant treasure for all by capturing the depth and breadth of Ike’s destructive forces from the air.
