In a ruling handed down last Friday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has reinstated a case of Mississippi landowners, victims of Hurricane Katrina, against Murphy Oil, amongst others.
The case effectively is seeking damages from Big Energy for their part in global warming and climate change which Plaintiffs of the case feel resulted in compounded losses during Hurricane Katrina.
